Ritchey's world-beating Paradigm pedal has been redesigned from the ground up. A new engagement system with a fixed front claw now provides best-in-class entry and release and excellent mud-shedding characteristics. The axle system has been revamped for even greater bearing life while achieving an even lower axle-cleat height than the previous design, and a wider body improves stability. At Ritchey, a new design isn't proven until it's survived the crucible of World Cup competition-and this all-new pedal has been in service with Nino Schurter and the Scott-Odlo team for the past three seasons and racked up some impressive wins. The bushing, needle and cartridge bearing system promises long service life and excellent protection from the elements, and it's completely serviceable. The saddle padding is made from a new polyurethane material that is 30% more shock absorbent than traditional foam, which reduces rider fatigue. Like the original, the new Comp Skyline features a curved, two-axis shape that bring a rise toward the rear of the saddle and a bit of lift to the nose. This shape is ideal for riders who lack flexibility and want more support, yet still offers a good position for riders who demand a healthy dose of performance with their comfort.
