Hed is there to serve every performance-minded cyclist. Just about every cycling discipline can benefit from Hed wheels, whether you are racing on a track or cycling on a road.

Hed has its headquarters in Minnesota, from where all new developments relating to the brand are managed. Despite the passing of Steve Hed in 2014, Hed was awarded the FedEx Small Business Grant in 2016. Ann Hed, who now runs the company on her own, has also won various awards for her specialist knowledge and expertise.

Products

At the end of last year, a full carbon variant was added to Hed's already wide-ranging line with many disc variants. After many years of research and testing, Hed presented the tubeless-ready Vanquish 6, available for clincher/folding tyres. The Vanquish wheels can also be used for gravel and cyclocross tyres. The Vanquish 6 is only available for disc brakes.

Available with rim heights of 46, 60 and 90mm and a fully closed rear wheel, the Jet clincher wheels are Hed's fastest and most diverse wheels. The Jet combines a low weight with aerodynamics, making it suitable for both road and time-trial bikes.

The Ardennes are the aluminium wheels in the Hed range. These are available in a tubeless-ready variant for clincher/folding tyres, both for disc and rim brakes. Ardennes wheels are accurately balanced, have excellent rolling resistance and provide a comfortable riding experience.

Characteristics

The high-quality wheels from Hed are well-known throughout the professional cycling world. Each type of wheel has a number of advanced characteristics allowing you to tweak the Hed wheel set to suit your own riding qualities. One of these characteristics is the Stability Control Technology, which ensures that wheel stability is maintained even during considerable side winds. Braking power is superb thanks to the Turbine Braking Technology that can be relied on in all conditions.
