The Blackspire Stinger chain tensioner keeps chains tensioned in the most challenging conditions. On rough terrain, a chain can jerk on the small ring of the sprocket. The Stinger guarantees optimum chain tension at all times. This way you never lose your chain. It is CNC machined from lightweight 6061 T-6 aluminum and is compatible with chainrings up to 40 teeth. The Stinger is available for mounting in three standard mounting ways: BB mount, ISCG and ISCG'05. More information about these mounting standards can be found under downloads. The tread pattern of this bicycle tire will roll smoothly on the diamond center plane at higher speeds with just the right balance of traction, cornering and braking. When the track gets soft - either wet or dry - or cornering, the side knobs will engage smoothly to add more stability and control. At lower pressures, it is possible to also connect the outer knobs to the diamond center plane to increase traction, braking and cornering at the expense of low rolling resistance when the track is particularly muddy, soft and slippery.
